If you are a salad lover, and want your dressing to add a refreshing “zing,” rather than drown your crisp veggies; then THIS Salad Dressing is for You!
My Syrian-American mom made this dressing on each, and every salad we ate growing up, and at a time when everyone else was pouring their dressing from a jar or bottle, (yuk!) it was always a hit.
It is fast to prepare, and lasts for several weeks in the fridge.
- Lemon juice – 1/3 cup - (lime can also be used)
- Vinegar – 1/3 cup – your favorite
- Olive Oil – 1/3 cup
- Garlic – 1 small clove – crushed
Simply put each ingredient in a jar, place an air tight lid, give a shake, and you have the perfect dressing in your fridge, waiting for you.
Salt, pepper, herbs or other spices are added at the time of tossing your salad.
I use this very same dressing drizzled across steamed veggies as well. It adds a delightful zing to every vegetable.
